Blessings Around the Table

“Blessing (בְּרָכָה – Berakah) is woven throughout the Word of God. From beginning to end, it is something every person is called to receive and to give. In Paleo Hebrew, Berakah (𐤁𐤓𐤊𐤄) paints a picture: the house (𐤁) of the head or leader (𐤓) opens the palm (𐤊) to release grace (𐤄). God’s design is that we live in the flow of His blessing—freely receiving and freely giving, just as He does.”
Genesis 12:2 (AMP):“And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you [abundantly],And make your name great (exalted, distinguished); And you shall be a blessing [a source of great good to others].”
Around the dinner table, I like to take turns and speak blessing over each family member. It’s a way to release life, identity, and encouragement—just as our Heavenly Father does.
Who can you bless today with your words? Your Dabar (𐤃𐤁𐤓)—your spoken promise—has power. Speak life. Speak blessing.
